Hi! You need references? Try wikipedia I hear they are good!Homotox 23:17, 13 August 2008 (CDT)

Red links

In the second paragraph we have red links to: "English alphabet", "nouns", "noun phrases", "proper nouns" and "capitalized" among others. The rest of tea article is similar. Do we really need articles on the subjects?--Tolerance 12:40, 20 August 2008 (CDT)

No, feel free to clean them up. This was probably copied directly from Wikipedia, and some may not even apply here. Doing more than redlink cleanup might be better left to admins, though, so they can set the tone and style of the site according to their wishes. Human talk 15:03, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
It is perhaps ironic that such things should be in the style guide.--Tolerance 15:53, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
True, but this wiki is only just getting started. They bootstrapped some things by copying from Wikipedia, and it makes sense to get the formatting. Of course, then one has to make it fit the new environment. Shall we take a stab at it to help out the admins? Human talk 19:31, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
Doh. It's protected so we can't. It really needs some work, too... Human talk 19:34, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
I have unprotected it for now so that it can be cleaned and modified to suit the needs here. Thank you. DoctorB 21:53, 20 August 2008 (CDT)
Thanks, I'll try to make it fit this wiki as best I can. Human talk 00:19, 21 August 2008 (CDT)
Fixing this will take quite some time, and the whole thing looks like overkill to me anyway. Given that some editors are so new that they don't even sign talk comments, are they really going to benefit from (or even read) so many pages of style guide? Perhaps time would be better spent on simplifying and correcting the Quick Start Guide? There are some things that look wrong to me, but I'm no wiki expert so possibly the ever-helpful Human could have a look at it?--Tolerance 04:41, 21 August 2008 (CDT)
